Good for us that Animals don’t speak

I’ve heard many of my friends say,

“ Animals are better than humans; I would rather live with 20 dogs than another human being”

True! Who doesn’t love pets? Even after a day of leaving them alone they will still play with us like nothing ever happened. Good for us that they don’t expect. Even if they did, they don’t have voices to tell.

We never know, we would probably ignore, insult, cast away our pets just as we do other humans, if they start talking.

Why?

We humans are pretty complicated. We love it when we’re loved and cared for despite any efforts from our side. Unfortunately all of us have enough 6th sense to know to expect some love and care and respect and at the same time deny it to someone else. And thus, even more unfortunate it is that, we have turned the concepts of Lasting love, Forever friendships, soulmates and the general togetherness an ancient, imaginary dream.

Whoever said that these concepts fit only in fantasy?

We are all social animals and without another one of us by our side, we barely survive. It is always possible to have “ till death do us apart” and other beautiful relationships, out of movie screens, in real life.

So why complicate lives by turning people down, taking them for granted? Why give happy endings only to Rom-coms?

Happy Valentine’s day to all the beautiful and committed relationships out there. :)
